Pet First Aid

If you know me, you know I love dogs, so adding pet CPR and first aid was a logical next step. I'm now a certified instructor with Pro Pet Hero and I am offering courses focused on dogs and cats (truth be told tho, mostly on dogs).

The 4hr course includes:

  • Why pet CPR & first aid is important and how to be a pet detective.
  • How to be safe around ill or injured pets including muzzling and handling techniques.
  • CPR and rescue breathing.
  • Managing bleeding wounds and burns.
  • How to assess musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Conditions such as bloat, vomiting, seizures and choking.
  • Environmental issues such as heat stroke, hypothermia, bugs, and critter encounters.
  • Poisoning--what your pet can or can't eat.
  • How to do a nose to tail wellness check.
I've got two courses scheduled with Essex County Greenbelt Association in August (2nd and 14th), but I'm scheduling now for the fall and winter (and beyond).

The courses are typically booked by group who provides the space, and I travel to you with presentation materials and canine manikins (unfortunately, we don't have dogs IN the class). Reach out to learn more.
